We have a milkman. I LOVE him AND he is truly my favorite Mom's Lifesaver.
Each Wednesday, we have a little stash of local goodness delivered to my front porch. They even ring the doorbell as they leave. Each item is placed in an aluminum cooler...just like back in the day.
Our weekly order is:
1 glass jug whole milk (oh, yes we do!)
3 glass jugs of no fat milk
1 bottle of OJ
1 small bottle half/half
1 dozen eggs
1 bottle low fat chocolate milk (oh, yeah!)
All of our items are locally sourced and all used glass jugs get placed back in the cooler for direct recycling back to them.
The prices are equatable to my local farm that is only seasonal.
