The competition, called Brick Factor, will take place over two days on Jan. 25 and 26, 2014 and the winner of the competition will be offered a full-time job as LEGOLAND's master model builder here in Boston.

LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston is holding a public competition that will turn someone’s love of LEGO® bricks into a dream job! 

The Brick Factor competition, scheduled Jan. 25-26 at Boston Public Library,  will be a creative, intense competition to identify the attraction’s Master Model Builder.

The full-time, salaried position is responsible for constructing new features, exhibitions and models at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston, which opens in May at Assembly Row in Somerville, Massachusetts.

The two-day Brick Factor competition will put contenders through a number of construction challenges, and there will be multiple rounds of competition. At the end of the weekend, a winner will be named, and hired, as Boston's master model builder!

How to Apply?

• Those wishing to compete in Brick Factor must complete the online application at http://www.legolanddiscoverycenter.com/boston/brickfactor/
•  Submit by Jan. 15.
•  Applicants must be 18 years or older by Jan. 26.
•  Open to the Public. Spectators welcome.
•  Brick Factor competition takes place Jan. 25 and 26 at the Boston Public Library
•  The master model builder will have a passion for LEGO's, good building skills and love to work with kid!

Competitors will tackle several construction challenges over two days and compete in multiple rounds with the winner being named a Master Model Builder.

Besides a natural love of LEGO bricks, potential candidates should be creative, a skilled model builder and passionate about working with and teaching the thousands of children that will visit the attraction each year.

About LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston

Scheduled to open in May 2014, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston will be the first and only one in New England. The 44,000-square-foot indoor attraction, geared toward children aged 3 to 10 and their families, will feature millions of LEGO® bricks and will offer a fun, highly interactive and educational two- to three-hour indoor experience. The attraction will feature interactive LEGO experiences, LEGO® Rides, LEGO® Studios 4D Cinema, LEGO® MINILAND featuring replicas of Boston landmarks made out of LEGO bricks, LEGO® Factory Tour and birthday rooms.
