Throwback Thursday - It's The Great Pumpkin

Do you remember waiting all year for the Charlie Brown specials to come on television?
I do. 

This was such a special night in our house - the whole family would watch together as Linus waited with Sally in the pumpkin patch, the World War I Flying Ace searched for the Red Baron and Charlie Brown went trick or treating in his 'ghost' costume that looked more like a peeled potato.


Today we can watch 'It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" anytime of year but there is something so special about watching during Halloween (although I have to say I forgot how many times the word 'stupid' is said LOL)

Who didn't feel sorry for Charlie Brown when he said, "I got a rock."?

This, now vintage, book we have was printed in 1969 and is "Dedicated to the Great Pumpkin" and so is this blog post.
