Books We Love - Halloween

We keep all our seasonal books tucked away until the holiday rolls around - Halloween is no exception!
Even as the kids have gotten older, it is great to see their expressions as we pull out their favorites - the best part, our oldest is now reading these to the younger ones.
Here are some of our family favorites - have one to share that we don't have? Please let us know in the comments - we are always on the look out for a good read!

The Run Away Pumpkin is MY all time favorite - the pages of our book are so worn! This rhyming tale of the pumpkin that gets cut off the vine and its journeys is wonderfully illustrated - I love it!
The Halloween Play - Felicia Bond shares this sweet story of a Halloween play
Alpha Oops! H is for Halloween - Can you spot all the letters? Great for letter identification
Where's My Mummy? - Do you remember "Are You My Mother?" that's what this Halloween hide and seek reminds me of - very cute!
Spooky Hour - A great rhyming read out loud - our daughter loves this one.
Sheep Trick or Treat - this one goes way back for us - it's a board book!
Goodnight Goon - the perfect parody - our son got such a kick out of this one - we had read Good Night Moon so many times when he was little - he thought this was too funny!
There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat - Laugh out loud illustrations - all I can think of is "What is she thinking?"
The Bumpy Little Pumpkin - people come in all shapes and sizes and so do pumpkins - Little Nell knows this first hand - a great conversation starter with your little one.
Scaredy-Cat Splat - Irresistibly illustrated - I have become a huge fan of Splat!
Last but not least - The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything - this is my sister's favorite - this little old lady is very brave in my eyes!
