Tiki Lit Outdoor Movie Night - Summer Fun!

What a wonderful night we had! We used this opportunity for a girls night out - just my daughter and I - for an outdoor movie viewing of Nanny McPhee -and we both agreed we can't wait to do it again.


TIP -The gates open at 6pm - we didn't get there until 7 but I would recommend getting there at 6 - not because of the crowds but to be able to enjoy as much of the farm as possible before the movie starts at 8.

Less Than A Week Old!

Even with only an hour before show time we were able to visit the new lambs that were born within the last week, spend time making friend with the new little goats in the petting area AND take a tractor ride tour through the farm and its exhibits.

Your movie night admission INCLUDES tractor rides, horse drawn wagon rides and horse and pony rides as well as all of the exhibits AND the movie. There are also occasional discount ticket offers through Living Social, and Cuptopia AND Charmingfare Farm members and their guests are FREE!

TIP - What was the key to a successful night at the Farm with a 7 year old - a nap! The reason we arrived closer to 7 than 6 was a nap - for both my daughter and I - we were refreshed and excited for our girls night and by the time the movie ended at 10 (there was a 10 minute intermission) we were both glad for that nap.

Macaroni & Pipe Cleaner Crafts Were Available for the Kids Too!

The movie nights at Charmingfare Farm are hosted by Merrimack Valley Macaroni Kids which offered macaroni crafts for the kids before the event as well as coupons to lots of NH attractions AND they had a raffle during intermission - our blanket neighbors won 4 passes to Liquid Planet and another to Sea Coast Science Center!

What to bring: blankets, lawn chairs - what ever makes you most comfortable - we brought a small pop-up cot and a blanket. We brought bug spray - but didn't need it! We also packed a small cooler of drinks and a few snacks but took advantage of the 'concession tent' offering grilled hot dogs (they were so delicious my daughter ate 2!), burgers, water, soda and chips. In addition to the lawn seating there is also a tented picnic table area as well.

When the movie was over we looked up and through the clear summer sky saw so many stars - my daughter thanked me for taking her and told me this was a perfect night.
