Did you know? Every summer, a company of talented Smirkus Troupers, ages 10 to 18, go on a two-month performance tour around New England. The big top tour starts this weekend! Here is the schedule.

Our family has been enjoying Circus Smirkus for over 12 years and our daughter (pictured as a clown camper below) has attended their summer camp as well.(For info on their summer programs click here)

This traveling troupe is action packed and full of fun. This year Circus Smirkus is taking us down the yellow brick road on a journey to Emerald City with OZ Incorporated!

Grab your Ruby Slippers and click your heels together, as Circus Smirkus goes "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" with a new spin on the Wizard of Oz. It will take acrobatic thinking, highwire hearts, and courageous clowns to embark on this Emerald City adventure! This time it's all flying monkey business as we cartwheel down the yellow brick road to a new twist in the tale. Here is some info from their site:

• Show length is 2 hours with a 15-minute intermission.
• The ticket booth opens 1 hour before show time. 
• Please pick up your tickets at the ticket booth before the show.
• The Big Top tent flaps open 30 minutes before show time. 
• Seating is general admission. Those who arrive early get the best choice of seating.
• Refreshments, including popcorn, hot dogs, cotton candy and beverages, are for sale in our Concession Tent 1 hour before show time.
• Shows go on rain or shine.
