Strawberry Picking - You Can Do It!

We did at Lavigne Strawberry Farm in Sanford, Maine.

Located on Whichers Mill Road, Sanford, Maine.  This 'off the beaten path' location offers family friendly strawberry picking over a massive strawberry field! 

At $1.80 a pound the price is right - perfect for family picking.

Here is the 'vintage' sign that will welcome you - you can drive your car right down into the field (marked by signs) and park. TIP - There is a potable toilet located on the field - just in case.

Our family was on a mission - get enough berries for a variety of jams and food gifts as well as 'freeze' some of summer's flavor for those winter months. Mission accomplished at Lavigne's!

The strawberries were abundant - quart containers were available for $.25 or you could purchase a 'box' for $1.00 - or you can always bring your own container.

We found plenty and more on the way - you still have time to get out there and pick with your family. We saw so many generations picking together - so many family memories being made.

We even found a super berry! Wonder who will take that one home?
