Today we will review a Moms' Night Out venue - for lunch!
What a wonderful treat to be invited out to lunch with a girlfriend - and what an amazing lunch to have seaside.
Seaglass Restaurant, located at the Pavilion on Salisbury Beach, Massachusetts, not only offers an amazingly well crafted menu but also scenic views of the Atlantic ocean - any closer and you'd feel the sea spray!
We didn't have a reservation, which they recommend, but were still seated at a beautiful window and watched the tide recede.
The luncheon menu had so many wonderful options, I enjoyed the French onion and apple cider soup - with just enough cider to give it a unique and savory flavor - delicious!
My lunch was called the Seaglass Box Lunch Duo and included a wonderful side of sweet potato fries and a half sandwich - turkey club - alongside my soup.
My girlfriend enjoyed their signature salad of bib lettuce along with candied walnuts, dried figs, blue cheese and a Cabernet vinaigrette as a starter and their Black Angus short rib burger for lunch - a wonderfully paired meal.
Our waitress was a true foodie and offered her insight on menu favorites and flavors of the season. She also pointed out that the 'black bumps' in the ocean that were starting to emerge as the tide receded, were actually the ribs of a shipwreck!
Now, where can you have first rate meal, gorgeous views, the warm rays of the sun on a Spring day and see the remnants of a shipwreck? Seaglass Restaurant - I hope to see you there!
