Since 2007, the Ale House has been a family owned restaurant in the heart of downtown Amesbury. The warm ambiance, HUGE beer selection (it rotates, so you never get bored!) and great food make for a great night out spot.

I enjoy taking a seat at the windows on the main floor overlooking the Pow Wow River. Better yet, during the summer months they have outdoor seating - it's awesome. Other options is the upstairs loft, perched above the bustling bar. Most of my moms' friends enjoy sitting at the bar! During the cooler months this restaurant is jammed packed with customers and it's always a lively place to visit. This is also a great location to mix in the guys and have a group get together!
Just last week, I had the Fried Pickles (a rare choice in these parts!) and the Haddock. All done really well. Check out their Menu here: Ale House Menu. Many times we go there we load up on all the appetizers, and share! The beer selection is extensive. It feels like a mico-brewery at the bar area. I'm not a beer drinker, but a full bar service with daily drink specialties is available.
The staff at Ale House is always super friendly and attentive, every time. It really has a neighborhood restaurant feel - comfortable and friendly. Hope we see you there soon!
