Many people know how much fundraising is dear to my heart. Ever since I was a kid my activism always translated to fundraising in some way. From my father NEVER walking by a homeless person without giving them money, to my mother working as a social worker for many years at the YWCA. These early experiences impacted me substantially.
Do you fund raise for a cause dear to your heart?
I'm currently organizing a school fundraiser, MSPCA event at the barn and a personal fundraiser for a friend of mine with an ill baby. All of these events make a mark on my life in such a great way...and my kids are learning to give back, too.
Just today I noticed my pantry is completely disheveled...cans moved around and missing bags. Evidently they have packed up some cans to donate at school for a local homeless shelter. They did this all without my knowledge. I'm so proud.
