How to Keep Homework Organized!
"Do you have any suggestions for storing kids' SCHOOL WORK. I'm talking about the worksheets, tests, etc. I don't want to have 48 awkward bins around the house by the time they're all done high school. If you have any good ideas, I'd love to hear" ..JoJo
This is a great question for school-agers!!! Thanks
Yes, there is a way to get those papers out of those bins! Make a binder portfolio. This suggestion is better for school work…not artwork. Take the school work you LOVE and place them in a clear protective sleeves that’s inserted into a three ring notebook. You can get two pages front and back into one sleeve for easy viewing as you flip thru. This allows children to see their work and protect the work. You can have a couple of years on one large notebook or a new small notebook for every year, depending on what your needs are! This is a great way to show off the work your kids are doing to family and friends, too.
Hope this helps.

Belly Molds
Plaster Molds of Bulging Tummy
This is a very unique activity you can do while pregnant, I did a plaster mold of my pregnant tummy with my youngest daughter and we just love having the mold after all these years (5). She plans on painting it and taking it to school on her 6th birthday! :) You can do this at home with help! :)
YOU NEED:
of Paris
gauze strips
Scissors
1 bucket filled
halfway with
warm water
Vaseline
Trash bag
Plastic shower
curtain
A helper
WHAT TO DO:
• Cut 2 foot strips of the gauze strips, enough for three layers
on your belly.
• Cover entire belly area with Vaseline (very important to
keep yourself protected and for ease upon removal).
• With a friend helping, soak each strip in warm water.
• Stand on the shower curtain to protect the floor.
• Start to place wet strips on belly and make one even
overlapping layer (horizontal layers work best).
• Continue to place two additional layers on the first layer
(you will feel the plaster hardening quickly
and get heavy).
• Leave the mold on your belly to dry for about 10-15 minutes.
• Remove mold and place on trash bag to dry overnight.
• You can have a “goddess moment” and paint it yourself…
or wait until your child is old enough to help with the
design themselves!
